Millerton NY

About

Millerton, called one of the “10 coolest towns in America” by Arthur Frommer’s Budget Travel, is just two hours north of New York City by car or train, nestled in a perfect location in the foothills of the Taconic Mountains surrounded by Columbia County, New York; the Berkshires of Massachusetts, and the hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut.

Millerton, a village within the Town of North East, has maintained it wonderful small-town feel. The Harlem Valley Rail Trail is a center point for the village, 15 paved miles of former railbed that cut through stunning, rural Dutchess County landscapes you can see on foot or bike.

Millerton is a little old-fashioned, with many businesses operated by locals, but despite that old-style character, there is nothing much you cannot get here. We are just 10 minutes from the Wassaic (New York) Metro North railroad station.
